Celebrating Excellence at the Great British Care Awards

What a great night! Care providers from across the East Midlands gathered at the Great British Care Awards regional gala dinner on November 1st.
PerCurra Nottingham were proud to finalists in two award categories: Gill Heppell - Care Employer Award and care assistant Laura Green - Home Care Worker. Their nominations had impressed the short-listing panel and they wowed the judged at their regional interview but they were pipped to the post for the final prize by worthy competition.
PerCurra founder and Managing Director Gill Heppell said: "It really was a fabulous evening. The Great British Care Awards highlight the amazing dedication of those working in the care sector. It is wonderful to see the spotlight shone on caring individuals who make such a difference to the lives of other people day in, day out."
The evening held at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham, was expertly hosted by Steve Walls with musical entertainment provided by the Shane Nolan Band
Matt Sherwood is a team member at PerCurra Grantham and Newark. When one of the clients he supports told him that she had never had pancakes on Pancake Day, Matt sprung into action!
Here we are – it's definitely winter and we are experiencing on and off freezing conditions. Typical British weather – damp and drizzly one day and hard frosts or snow the next. There are many things we can do to stay warm and well but this can be much harder for older and vulnerable people so they may need some help.
